ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — The late Oscar Wong was honored on April 23 by UNC Asheville, as the university dedicated the Oscar Wong Memorial Garden on its campus.
According to a news release from UNC Asheville, Wong, who is known as the “Godfather of Asheville craft beer,” served two terms as a member of the UNC Asheville’s Board of Trustees. He also received an honorary degree from the university in 2024.
