Henderson County wildfire 100% contained

HENDERSON COUNTY, N.C. (WSPA) – Firefighters have fully contained a wildfire in Henderson County which sparked on Friday.

Local officials confirmed on Sunday the Howard Gap Road fire is now 100% contained and no homes or structures were damaged in a fire.

Firefighters with the Dana Fire Department were called Friday evening to Howard Gap Road for reports of a brush fire. Once on the scene firefighters reportedly found an area which had been heavily damaged by Hurricane Helene on fire…
