Suzanne Gavenus, a Burnsville resident, counselor, and educator, is a candidate for the North Carolina House of Representatives in District 85 and will appear on the November ballot, representing Avery, McDowell, Mitchell, and Yancey counties.
Gavenus brings more than three decades of experience working at the intersection of mental health, education, and community support. She currently serves as Director of Counseling and Wellness at the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics’ Morganton campus.
