MADISON COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) — A 70-year-old man is charged with murder after what Madison County authorities called a domestic-related shooting March 30, 2026.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office said Douglas Rex Conner of Greeneville, Tennessee, is accused of killing 66-year-old Kenneth Larry Patterson. He was taken into custody April 21.
In an April 22 news release, the sheriff’s office said investigators found the shooting was the result of an apparent “domestic-related, jealous rage.”…
