Asheville Tea Company finds new, permanent home after Helene destroyed original site

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — Asheville Tea Company was ripped apart – literally – by Hurricane Helene in September 2024. But they refused to give up. Now, nearly 20 months later, the company has finally found a new permanent home.

Over the next few months, the company will be moving into the former Moog Music factory building. Founder and CEO Jessie Dean said that this will be their primary production hub.

This marks a new chapter after a difficult year and a half. After the company’s original building on Thompson Street was ripped in two and swept away by Helene’s floodwaters, Asheville Tea Company moved into a temporary spot at AB-Tech…
