The Sheriff’s Office says 16-year-old Star Grant arrived in Buncombe County at 12:25pm Wednesday, May 13, 2026 and was formally charged with three counts of first-degree murder and one count of conspiracy to commit murder. Investigators say Grant and 28-year-old Devan Loving are accused of killing three of Grant’s family members, who were found shot to death in their Fairview community home last week.
The suspects were arrested Friday, May 8, 2026, in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Grant is being charged as an adult and is being held without bond in a juvenile detention facility in Alexander County. Loving is expected to be extradited to Buncombe County later this week…
