Victims of WNC triple homicide were shot, stabbed, had wallets stolen: prosecutors

BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) — A 28-year-old man accused of murder in the deaths of three family members at a western North Carolina home will remain in jail without bond, prosecutors announced Friday.

During a court hearing on Friday, May 15, prosecutors said 28-year-old Devan Loving faces the possibility of a capital murder trial in connection with the killings of 41-year-old Travis Eugene Grant, 42-year-old Kimberly Michelle Grant and 66-year-old Sharon Harwood Grant. Authorities confirmed Travis and Kimberly Grant were married, and that Sharon Grant was Travis’ mother.

Loving and 16-year-old Star Grant are co-defendants in this case, both charged with three counts of first-degree murder and one count of conspiracy to commit murder. The three victims were identified as Star’s parents and grandmother…
