HENDERSONVILLE – A grand jury indicted Leron Monteith, 19, May 18, in the shooting death of Bella Gamez, 18, District Attorney Andrew Murray told the Times-News later that same day.
That means the grand jury found that there was enough evidence against him to move forward with prosecuting the case.
Monteith, of Mills River, allegedly shot Gamez April 27 at a park in Henderson County’s unincorporated community of Dana. He was arrested April 28, the Times-News previously reported…
