AG Chris Carr endorses Rick Jackson in Georgia GOP governor’s runoff

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — One of the first major endorsements in Georgia’s high-stakes GOP gubernatorial runoff came Tuesday, when Attorney General Chris Carr endorsed Rick Jackson.

“Rick Jackson is an outsider businessman, a man of deep faith and integrity who will do what’s right for the people of Georgia,” Carr, who mounted an unsuccessful bid for governor this year, said. “He has law enforcement’s back, will crack down on crime and corruption and cut taxes.”

Jackson is facing Lt. Gov. Burt Jones in the June 16, 2026, runoff to determine who will face Democrat Keisha Lance Bottoms in this fall’s general election…
