Big Lots has long been a popular stop for discount furniture, gadgets, snacks, and other general retail merchandise. But the chain has gone through a lot of change in the last few years.
In September 2024, Big Lots filed for bankruptcy, followed by the closure of hundreds of stores. Several locations were bought and remodeled by retailers like Ollie’s, but the chain was ultimately rescued by Variety Wholesalers. After multiple rounds of re-openings, Big Lots now operates 219 stores in 15 states.

Big Lots is open 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday-Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.
