3 macaws rescued from inhumane conditions in North Georgia

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Three female macaws were rescued from inhumane conditions in North Georgia.

The Georgia Aviary helped the Georgia Department of Agriculture law enforcement division with the rescue on July 30.

The aviary said the parrots were in severely undersized cages in a room with 18 large dogs and a smell of ammonia from pet waste, with such strong fumes that rescuers were forced to wear N95 masks…
