A 23-year-old Jefferson man died after being shot multiple times at a Subway restaurant Tuesday afternoon. Two men from Pendergrass have since been arrested and charged with murder.
Jefferson police officers responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting at the restaurant at 5210 U.S. Highway 129 at approximately 3:16 p.m. on Sept. 22.
When officers arrived, they found Aaron Winston Johnson suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a regional hospital, where he later died.
