Knife Attack Near Greenbriar Mall Rattles Southwest Atlanta

A man is recovering in the hospital after a stabbing near Greenbriar Mall on Saturday, according to Atlanta police. Officers found him with apparent stab wounds and described him as alert, conscious and breathing before medics took him away for treatment. Detectives stayed at the scene, working to piece together what led up to the attack.

As reported by 11Alive, officers responded to reports of a person stabbed at 3223 Greenbriar Pkwy SW and found a male victim suffering from apparent stab wounds. The outlet noted that the victim was “alert, conscious, and breathing” when officers arrived, and that the investigation remains ongoing. Police had not announced any arrests or released a suspect description at the time of the report.

Investigators are canvassing the Greenbriar Parkway area and checking surveillance video as they dig into what happened. Atlanta Police are asking anyone with information or video of the incident to contact Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS (8477) or submit an anonymous tip online, according to the Atlanta Police Department.
