Police: Chamblee Walmart closes early after suspect starts fire inside store

CHAMBLEE, Ga. — A suspect is in jail after starting a fire inside a Walmart in Chamblee, police in DeKalb say.

The incident took place at the store located at 1871 Chamblee Tucker Road.

Officers received a call that a man was in an aisle near the bathroom items, setting several mats and towels on fire.

Cameras inside and outside the store captured the man heading toward the Chamblee MARTA station. MARTA police located him at the Doraville Station, where he was placed in custody…
