More than 70 residents displaced after flames erupt, lead to partial roof collapse of Chamblee apartments: officials

CHAMBLEE, Ga. — Crews are battling a large fire on Mother’s Day on Sunday afternoon at a luxury apartment complex in Chamblee.

DeKalb County Fire Rescue said no on was injured in the fire. Captain Jaeson Daniels said 72 residents residents are displaced and being assisted by the Red Cross.

He said fire may have started from an AC unit on the roof. The exact cause of the fire is under investigation…
