Two men from DeKalb County were arrested in Flowery Branch on Mother’s Day after authorities said they found them in possession of illegal drugs and a stolen weapon.
The Flowery Branch Police Department issued a statement on Tuesday, May 12, saying the arrests stemmed from a traffic stop inside the Sterling on the Lake subdivision on the night of Sunday, May 10.
“During the course of the investigation, officers discovered the occupants were in possession of numerous individually packaged quantities of marijuana, two firearms, gloves, and a mask,” a release from the police department said. “One of the firearms was confirmed to have been reported stolen.”
The driver of the vehicle, Isaiah Johnathan Lusk, age 21 of Stone Mountain, and his passenger, Kristopher Adam Smith, age 28 of Lithonia, were both arrested at the scene…
