Greenville Ave. Waffle House switches to ‘delivery only’ service

The Waffle House diner on Greenville Avenue near Forest Lane is just four years old, but they’ve already made big changes to their format. Customers are now barred from dining inside at tables or the counter — only delivery service is available.

Officials at Waffle House haven’t released a reason for the change, but employees at the restaurant often said it was difficult finding workers to fill all shifts covering 24 hours.

The Lake Highlands Waffle House isn’t the only outlet making the change. Locations in Pensacola, Florida, Atlanta, Georgia, Nashville, Tennessee, and other breakfast-loving hotspots are also abandoning dine-in service. Waffle House has more than 2,000 locations in 25 states, with about 130 in Texas alone. According to The U.S. Sun, more restaurants will be switching to delivery-only soon…
