ATLANTA, Ga. (WRBL) — Officials with the Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT) announced on Tuesday that all interstate lane closures will be suspended during Memorial Day weekend.
To reduce anticipated travel delays and increase safety for travelers during the holiday, all interstate lane closures will be suspended beginning Friday at 12 p.m. through Tuesday, May 26, at 5 a.m.
Officials reminded motorists that while lane closures are suspended, construction crew members may still be working near roadways.
