‘We are basically paralyzed:’ Seniors complain of half-mile walk after MARTA bus stop closes

Residents of Berean Village Senior Community in southwest Atlanta say they must walk a grueling half-mile to catch a bus after the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority closed the bus stop on their street last month, while restructuring the bus route system to improve efficiency.

“Which is a problem for seniors, especially for those with these chronic conditions and ailments,” said resident Belinda White.
