Columbia County Duo Sentenced to 40 Years for Car Break-In Spree

Davionte Kelly, 24, and Montevion Williams, 19, got 40-year prison sentences last week in Columbia County. Their crimes? Being part of a car break-in crew that swept through apartment complexes. Judge Barry A. Fleming ordered the first 15 years served behind bars.

Kelly received first offender treatment. Williams was not eligible. Two other defendants, Omarion Thomas, 21, and Nasir Woods-Blackwell, 23, have not yet been sentenced.

The June 15, 2025, investigation started around 4:30 a.m. Deputies responded to reports of people entering vehicles at Ridge Crossing Apartments in Martinez. They tried to set up a perimeter around the property, but the suspects scattered when they realized law enforcement was nearby…
