EVANS, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Columbia County Board of Education Chairman David Dekle is pushing back against allegations circulating on social media about a special-called board meeting held June 5, 2025, in Savannah during the annual summer conference of the Georgia School Boards Association.
Dekle said the board meeting was properly noticed under Georgia law and was held to complete the superintendent’s evaluation and discuss an extension of the superintendent’s contract and a raise.
