AIKEN, S.C. (WJBF) – A 19-year-old utility worker was killed after a hit-and-run incident early Friday morning, the Aiken County Coroner’s Office has confirmed.
According to the coroner’s office, officials responded to the area of Rutland Drive and Northland Boulevard in at approximately 5:46 a.m. on June 26. An unknown vehicle was traveling west when it struck two contract utility workers in the work zone and left the scene.
One worker was pronounced deceased on the scene at 6:27 a.m. from blunt force trauma. He has been identified as Billy H. Norris of Chesnee, S.C…
