Record number of drivers expected to travel for Fourth of July, AAA says

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) — A record number of Georgians are expected to travel for the Fourth of July holiday, according to AAA, as millions prepare to hit the road despite still-higher costs.

AAA projects more than 2.4 million Georgians will travel at least 50 miles from home during the Independence Day travel period, which runs from June 27 through July 5.
