KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — An East Tennessee man is one of four government contractors charged in an alleged scheme to sell substandard parts to the U.S. military at premium prices, the U.S. Department of Justice announced.
A federal grand jury in Knoxville returned a 19-count indictment earlier this month against four men.
- David Turner, 59, of Walkertown, North Carolina
- Roger Wolfgram, 56, of Augusta, Georgia
- Adam Boudet, 39, of Augusta, Georgia
- Alex Bath, 50, of Maryville, Tennessee
All four suspects face charges of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, while Turner and Wolfgram also face money laundering charges. They appeared in court on Tuesday, where they entered not guilty pleas and were released pending trial.
The indictment alleges the group conspired to obtain contracts with the Defense Logistics Agency, a Department of Defense agency, to provide the military with original equipment manufacturer parts like fuel injectors and generators…
