Person exposed to rabid fox in Aiken County

AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. (WJBF) – The South Carolina Department of Public Health has confirmed that a person was exposed to a rabid fox in Aiken County this month.

According to the department, the fox was found near Augusta Road and Eula Helen Street in Gloverville, S.C. It was submitted to the DPH’s laboratory for testing on June 26 and was confirmed to have rabies the same day.
