EDGEFIELD, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) – A second wrongful death lawsuit has been filed against the Edgefield County School District, alleging school leaders failed to protect a student from ongoing bullying and harassment before her death.
The complaint, filed July 24 in Edgefield County Court of Common Pleas, was brought by Jessica Viseth, as personal representative of the estate of Alexis Marie Viseth. The lawsuit names the Edgefield County School District, former Merriwether Middle School Principal Mindy Clark and Assistant Principal Antwaun Hillary as defendants.
