While student teaching at Grovetown Elementary School last year, SheKinah Bennett heard a familiar name.
A new principal was coming to the school midyear, and Bennett wondered if it could possibly be her sixth grade teacher from Columbia Middle School.
“That would be kind of crazy if it was the same Ms. Barnett,” said Bennett of LaToya Jackson-Barnett. “She was walking down the hall, and I just know my face was beaming, hers was too. And it was just like ‘Oh my goodness Ms. Barnett.’ We gave each other a big hug, and everything was great.”…
