Long ago, my employment was at a Troy newspaper located on South Brundidge Street. There was one boss and three female hires.
Late one afternoon, three of us, me, let’s say Karen and Lisa, were sitting around drinking tap-water tea and the talk turned to the subject of modern conveniences, including running house water brought to us from the huge water tank out on Highway 231.
“Wonder, how much water is in that?” one of us asked. We Googled and could not believe how much water WAS in that tank – 1,500,000 gallons! Who could believe that much drinking water?!…
