Leon Lott receives permanent name-recognition within the ongoing development of Centennial Park
Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott, a South Carolina Military Veterans Hall of Fame inductee (Class of 2025), has received yet another honor with a brick bearing his name and law-enforcement title installed directly below the large flagpole at the still-being-developed Centennial Park on Fort Jackson, S.C. The expanding brick courtyard (pictured here) below the flag and directly across the street from the Fort Jackson museum will serve as the centerpiece of Centennial Park also billed as the “Gateway to the Army” project.
Once completed, Centennial Park will feature a site-commanding “soldiers’ statue;” a spacious amphitheater; sheltered pavilions (for visiting families); and a “pathway of patriots,” a pedestrian walkway with historic and militarily significant points of focus crisscrossing throughout the park…
