The U.S. Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration pushed the Savannah River Site management contract out to September 30, 2027. Why? The NNSA needs more time to sift through bids for a massive new contract valued at $61.5 billion spanning two decades.
Savannah River Nuclear Solutions got a one-year bump worth about $2.3 billion. NNSA made the call on Aug. 10.
