GROVETOWN, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – After a few years serving wood-fired pizza from a food trailer, a local man has opened his own brick and mortar restaurant in Grovetown.
Gil Rowland, owner of Southern Fired Foods, spent years in the corporate world before deciding it was time for a change. He didn’t have a plan for what was next — until his family suggested a pizza place.
“I laughed,” Rowland said. “I said I don’t wanna do a pizza restaurant. Ha ha ha — now we have one.”…
