‘It’s a nuisance’: Harlem neighbor raises concerns over data center noise

HARLEM, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Construction at Google’s Pumpkin Center data center in Harlem is running around the clock, according to a neighbor, raising questions about whether the project is following county rules on construction hours.

Gregory Guido, who lives near the more than 3,000-acre site, said he moved to the area for peace and quiet, only for the noise to begin almost as soon as work started.

“I moved out here to the country, where it was going to be nice and quiet, a nice place to settle down and raise families,” Guido said…
