Saturday Morning Update: Many of us woke up this morning to the sound of pouring rain and rumbles of thunder accompanying a light show in the sky! With high pressure ushering in moisture in the from the coast, and a shortwave trough moving through the Southeast, we’re going to see waves of rain much of the day today, along with some scattered storms. The storms will not be severe in nature, but heavy rain could lead to localized flooding. Cloud cover throughout the day will keep temperatures a few degrees cooler than average, topping off in the upper 70s.
