Daily forecast From First Alert Meteorologist Chris Still

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – A cold front pushed through Saturday night ushering in the coolest temperatures we have experienced since Spring that will hang around for the next several days. Dry weather can be expected through midweek, but it looks like tropical disturbance now in the southwestern Gulf of Mexico will move in our direction bringing a good chance of rain Thursday, Friday and possibly into next weekend. The National Hurricane Center says this system has a 70 percent chance of organizing into a tropical depression or tropical storm Francine by Tuesday, but regardless of whether that happens, the area of low pressure will push moisture into the southeastern U.S. bringing our next chance of rain toward the end of the week into next weekend.
