McCORMICK COUNTY, S.C. (WJBF) – VA Augusta hosted a Veteran Town Hall and Resource Event for McCormick County veterans and their families on Thursday, April 30.
The goal of the event was to connect veterans in the county with VA Health Care and benefits.
“Today, while they’re here, they can sign up for care,’ said James Doelling, interim executive director at VA Augusta Health Care. “We can share benefits with them, including, as I said, the National Cemetery Veterans benefits. We can share everything with them, what’s available to them, but we also share our contact information. So they go home, they talk to their family, they think about it. They can reach out at any time. So this, again, is information sharing, so they again learn about the benefits that they’ve earned.”…
