AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – A man shot himself in the leg by the Lowe’s on Bobby Jones on Friday, the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office confirmed.
According to first responders, the accidental shooting incident took place near the outdoor Garden Center section of the store on May 1. Officials say the man accidently shot himself in the lower leg “while manipulating his handgun in his pocket while still in his vehicle.”
A chief confirmed that the bleeding was able to be put under control shortly after the situation occurred. He was transported to the by Gold Cross to Doctors Hospital in Augusta and is in stable condition…
