DENVER — The agency building Colorado’s inter-city passenger rail line wants to create a special station and stop at the Denver Broncos’ new stadium. The Broncos want it too. But whether it happens will likely be up to voters.
Sal Pace, general manager of the Front Range Passenger Rail District, confirmed this week that the district is in active talks with the Broncos about a dedicated train stop at Burnham Yard, the 58-acre site on the western edge of Denver where the team is planning a new retractable-roof stadium and mixed-use development. The Broncos initiated the conversation, Pace said.
