Remembering Jennifer Sharp: Grand Junction skydiving pioneer killed in Missouri plane crash

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO) – A total of 12 people died in a plane crash in Butler, Missouri on June 14.

The Bates County Sheriff’s Office confirmed it was a skydiving plane.

The Bates County Coroner’s Office confirmed one of those on board was 55-year-old Jennifer Sharp of Grand Junction.

Sharp completed over 6,800 skydives since 1989. She took her first jump at 18 in 1989. In 15 years, she grew from a first-time jumper to teaching tandem instructing in 2004…
