Man accused of hitting 3 women while drunken driving charged with 1 felony, 2 misdemeanors

DENVER (KDVR) — A man accused of hitting three women, and dragging one, with his car while drunken driving in Lower Downtown has been charged with one felony and two misdemeanors, according to the Denver District Attorney’s Office.

The crash happened near the intersection of 20th and Larimer streets at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning, just after the district’s busy bars were closing for the weekend, Denver police said. The man, 56-year-old Cesario Serrato, was driving southwest on Larimer Street through the Ballpark District when he turned right onto 20th Street, hitting the women as they were crossing the street, according to a probable cause statement.

The impact “threw” two of the women, and the third was “pulled underneath the vehicle and dragged approximately half a block,” the statement read…
