DENVER (KDVR) — Nine people were rescued by other boaters after their own boat capsized at Chatfield State Park on Sunday, according to a social media post from South Metro Fire Rescue.
Around 2 p.m. on Sunday, South Metro Fire Rescue and Colorado Parks and Wildlife responded to reports of a capsized boat at Chatfield State Park.

The nine people on board the boat were rescued by other civilian boaters in the area. All nine people were wearing life jackets, which the agency said played a crucial role in ensuring the safety of the stranded boaters.
