Congressional delegation asking questions about shooting outside ICE Facility in Aurora

AURORA, Colo. (KDVR) – Lawmakers are demanding more be done to help protect peaceful protestors outside federal detention facilities like the GEO ICE facility in Aurora.

PREVIOUS: Aurora ICE facility employee accused in shooting charged with assault

The demands came after a woman was shot during a protest near the facility in July.

Colorado’s Democratic Congressional delegation said that it wants to know what types of training agents and contractors  are required to undergo before they are assigned to facilities like the one in Aurora.

The delegation said it also wants to know what kind of de-escalation and crowd management training agents receive as well as how the agency cooperates with law enforcement…
