DENVER (KDVR) — Lakewood police agents in June arrested a woman accused of causing two elderly residents of an assisted living facility to be seriously injured while she was in her first 30 days working there, according to the First Judicial District Attorney’s Office.
The two residents were under the care of Ashley Ann Garcia, a qualified medication administration personnel responsible for administering medication and providing caretaking support, who is now facing charges of Negligent Serious Bodily Injury to an At-Risk Person and Negligent Bodily Injury to an At-Risk Person.
Police were first alerted to the injuries in July 2025, when a woman reported that her 100-year-old grandmother living at the Rocky Mountain Assisted Living Facility’s Lakewood Memory Care location suffered a large skin tear, the attorney’s office said…
