DENVER (KDVR) — A 28-year-old locksmith faces 13 charges over allegations that he stole from and exploited numerous elderly victims across the Denver metro area.
The First Judicial District Attorney’s Office announced that 28-year-old Menashe Evro faces felony theft and criminal exploitation charges stemming from a months-long investigation into theft and exploitation accusations through his locksmith business.
There are reportedly seven victims, several of whom are at risk, between the ages of 76 and 91. The following charges are listed:
- Four counts of theft of an at-risk victim
- Four counts of criminal exploitation of an at-risk person
- Two counts of criminal attempt to commit criminal exploitation of $500 or more to an at-risk victim
- Two counts of criminal attempt to commit theft of an at-risk victim
- One count of theft
The investigation started in January after a potential fraud report involving a Littleton elderly couple, after the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office learned that the couple used Call-A-Locksmith.com to find a person to fix their porch storage lock…
