DENVER — Amtrak will be the operator of the Colorado Connector passenger service, the Front Range Passenger Rail District says in a draft delivery plan for the service aiming to launch in 2029.
The 75-page document was released today (Monday, July 20). It is the first time the District has indicated its plans for an operator.
Current plans call for a “Starter Service” between Fort Collins and Denver under an agreement reached earlier this year between the state of Colorado and BNSF Railway. Launch of full service between Fort Collins and Pueblo will be dependent on funding from a ballot initiative in the service area…
