DENVER (KDVR) — Denver police are asking the public to share photos and videos after a street takeover involving drag racing, fireworks and burnouts blocked traffic near the intersection of Broadway and Mississippi late Friday night into Saturday morning.

Police said officers responded around 12:15 a.m. on Saturday and cleared the area. No arrests or citations were made that night.
Video from the scene showed lines of cars blocked from driving through the intersection as participants set off fireworks, performed burnouts and started a fire in the roadway.
“It was really crazy,” witness Abigail Kahn said. “Like in a matter of seconds, the intersection was silent, like it was like nothing had ever happened.”
