DENVER (KDVR) — Three people were arrested after Lone Tree police investigated a “suspicious” Tesla on July 29, the City of Lone Tree announced in a social media post on Wednesday afternoon.
Officers spotted a suspicious vehicle in a parking lot in the 8400 block of Park Meadows Drive. An investigation into the vehicle revealed that it was a Tesla, which was reported as stolen. The officers also noted that a “Tesla Overnight Demo Drive Customer” sign was placed on the windshield.
CSP issues stern warning, driver caught going 57mph over limit
The officers reached out to Tesla and learned that the demo vehicle had been obtained using fraudulent identification.
Eventually, three people returned to the Tesla and were contacted by the officers. All three people had outstanding warrants for their arrests…
