Suspect in custody after stabbing in Thornton

DENVER (KDVR) — A 21-year-old man was arrested on Thursday after an early morning stabbing incident left a man hospitalized.

Thornton police officers responded to a stabbing report around 6:51 a.m. on Thursday near Margaret Carpenter Fields, where they found a man suffering from a serious but non-life-threatening wound in the upper chest.

He was hospitalized and is in stable condition; however, the suspect fled before police arrived. Witnesses reportedly provided a license plate number, and an officer used the Flock Safety database to find an image of the “distinct” suspect vehicle.
