Colorado residents are mourning the loss of a local leader after he died during a hike on Quandary Mountain.
Joe Anderson, Englewood’s mayor pro tem, “died this morning while hiking in Summit County,” according to an Aug. 28 news release from the City of Englewood. The Denver Postreported Anderson was 45.
CBS Colorado, the Denver Gazette and 9News reported that Summit County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the the lower slopes of Quandary Mountain for a report of a hiker who had lost consciousness and was not breathing at around 6:40 a.m…
