Colorado town celebrates National Golden Retriever Day with an epic dog party

(Colorado) Dogs make life better. They are great listeners, reliable workout buddies, and loyal & loving companions.

Our furry friends deserve a celebration, and this Saturday, golden retrievers take center stage.

On February 3rd, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Golden, Colorado, will host “Goldens in Golden,” an annual event to celebrate National Golden Retriever Day (February 3rd).

All friendly, well-behaved, leashed golden retrievers are welcome!

The meet and greet for pups and owners will start at 11:00 a.m. at Parfet Park near the Golden Visitor Center (1010 Washington Avenue). There will be free “pup cup” treats, vendor booths, “Goldens in Golden” merchandise, and plenty of dog-loving friends.

This year, there will be three opportunities for a group photo at the “Welcome to Golden” sign, an iconic arch erected in 1949. The times are 11:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and noon.

Washington Avenue will be closed to vehicles until 1:00 p.m.

The event is free, but please RSVP so there will be enough treats for everyone.
