Stolen Car Turns 16th Street Mall Stroll Into Chaos, Cops Say

A stolen vehicle slammed into a pedestrian area along Denver’s 16th Street Mall on Friday, triggering a heavy police response and abruptly cutting into the flow of foot traffic on one of the city’s busiest walkways. Parts of the promenade were temporarily disrupted while investigators walked the scene, cataloged damage, and collected evidence. What police said

As reported by KDVR, Denver police said the car had been reported stolen before it entered the pedestrian area of the mall. KDVR reporter Nate Belt’s coverage included video from the scene and noted that investigators were on site Friday night gathering evidence.
